Though it really hasn’t been all that long, it seems like an eternity since IJOY and the Limitless Mod Company released the first version of their genesis style RDTA, and in many ways the IJOY RDTA has become something of a benchmark. The only other RDTA that compares favorably in this reviewer’s opinion is the Geekvape Avocado 24.

Since the original, and the split with LMC, there have been four revisions culminating in the fifth version, which we review today: the appropriately named RDTA 5.

The RDTA 5 adds to the short legacy of the IJOY RDTA family with its truly original top-fill system, easy wicking system, and a multiple airflow system that includes adjustable bottom and side airflow. Throw in a velocity-style deck with a true single-coil option and a massive wide-bore resin drip tip, and the new 5 raises the bar yet again – it may be best RDTA IJOY has offered.

Note that the IJOY website calls the deck “interchangeable”. The RDTA 5 that I received only came with one style (velocity), and I don’t know if “interchangeable” implies that other optional decks will be available for purchase separately.
